ANP 3rd Brazil licensing Round
Earthmoves Ltd. has produced an evaluation of all 53 blocks on offer
in the 3rd Brazilian licensing round using mainly information in
the public domain. The evaluation consists of 14 full-colour A3
sized play maps and approximately 75 A3 sized diagrams of well correlations,
structure maps and seismic sections accompanied by 45 pages of text.
The maps summarise the following features
in varying amounts of detail:
• Salt structures and shale anticlines
• Reservoir distribution and thickness
• Source rock maturity and TOC levels
• Faults and folds
• Adjacent basement structure
• Surface outcrop
• Volcanic highs, intrusions and lava isopachs
• Depth to top evaporites and salt limits
• Turbidite feeder channel positions and mounds
• Carbonate banks
• Gravity and magnetic anomalies
• Continent-ocean boundaries and crustal hinge lines
• ANP block outlines and bathymetry
• Published well locations and seismic lines
Each block has been evaluated for source, maturity,
structure and reservoir potential with a half- to one page text
summary. Exploration
leads are identified and there is an assessment of the hydrocarbon
potential. Seismic lines and cross sections through the blocks
are
located and interpreted. A full bibliography of 1600 references
on Brazilian sedimentary basin geology is also included.
