ANP 4th Brazil Licensing Round Evaluation
Earthmoves Ltd. has undeertaken an evaluation of all 55
blocks on offer in the 4th Brazilian licensing round using information
in the public domain. We have collaborated with ex-Petrobras geologist
Renato Darros de Matos in this study. and produced a series of 20
full-colour play maps at A3 scale covering all the offered blocks.
There are 139 figures accompanying the 45 pages of text.
The maps summarise the following features, in varying amounts
of detail:
• salt structures and shale anticlines
• reservoir distribution and thickness
• source rock maturity and TOC levels
• faults and folds
• adjacent basement structure
• surface outcrops
• volcanic highs, intrusions and lava isopachs
• depth to top evaporites and salt limits
• turbidite feeder channel positions and mounds
• carbonate banks
• gravity and magnetic anomalies
• continent-ocean boundaries
• ANP Block outlines and bathymetry
• published well locations and seismic sections
Each block has been evaluated for source, maturity, structure, and
reservoir potential with a half- to one page text summary. Exploration
leads are identified and there is an assessment of the hydrocarbon
potential. Seismic lines and cross sections, which have been acquired
recently, and are not in the main Earthmoves Brazil report are included
with this package.
