ANP 5th Brazil Licensing Round Evaluation

Earthmoves Ltd. has produced an evaluation of all blocks on offer in the 5th Brazilian licensing round using information in the public domain. There are 100 figures accompanying the 30 pages of text, with 134 geological and seismic sections through the blocks. Blocks with higher potential are listed with explanations. We have produced a series of 9 full-colour maps at A1 to A3 scale covering all the offered blocks.

The maps summarize the following features, in varying amounts of detail:

• salt structures and shale anticlines

• reservoir distribution and thickness

• source rock maturity and TOC levels

• faults and folds

• adjacent basement structure

• surface outcrops

• volcanic highs, Mesozoic and Tertiary intrusions and lava isopachs

• depth to top evaporites and salt limits

• turbidite feeder channel positions and mounds

• carbonate banks

• gravity and magnetic anomalies

• continent-ocean boundary

• ANP Block outlines

• bathymetry

• well locations

• well correlations and seismic sections

• gas hydrate occurrences

• oil and gas seeps

Blocks have been evaluated for source, maturity, structure, and reservoir potential with a half- to one page text summary on each licensed area. Exploration leads are identified, and there is an assessment of the hydrocarbon potential. Seismic lines and cross sections, which have been acquired recently, and are not in the main Earthmoves Brazil report, will be included with this package. This report will also be useful for regional evaluation of past and future license round blocks. The report comes in both hard copy & CD format.
