Denudation, exhumation and tectonic history of the Lana
Basin and hinterland Offshore Kenya. Dana Petroleum,
2002.
Production of digital topography, drainage and offshore gravity
anomaly maps to evaluate sediment input into the Kenyan margin.
The analysis used fission track data, palaeoclimates and tectonic
history analysis to identify periods and locations of major clastic
input into the Kenyan margin.
Risk evaluation of fluid invasion and trapping in the Zechstein
evaporites from the Boulby Mine, Teeside NE England. Anglo-American
Mining, 2002.
This project involved well log and seismic analysis to identify
faults which could lead to fluid invasion of H2S, methane and water
into the mine workings. A risk assessment map was produced indicating
areas to avoid in future mining operations.

Geological Correlation of offshore Benin and the Mundau
and Aracati Sub-Basins of Brazil. Kerr McGee.
Well data from Brazil and Benin were used to evaluate the palaeogeography
for the Albian period which is believed to be crucial for prediction
of reservoir sand quality in the deep targets offshore Benin.
Salt Tectonic Evaluation of Offshore Morocco. Enterprise

Analysis of seismic data used to establish criteria for prioritising
structures with better trapping potential.

Chalk Prospectivity in Block 22/8a North Sea: a structural
appraisal. Ranger Oil.
This project involved analysis of well logs and seismic data to
assess the potential for fractured chalk reservoirs in this block.
Evaluation of Fracture Porosity in the Kyle Field, Central
Graben, North Sea. Ranger Oil
Core and well log analyses were used to calculate the fracture
porosity and volume of oil in place in fractures in the Kyle Field.
Structural Evolution of the Mungo Diapir: implications for
oil production from the chalk reservoir. BP.
Seismic data was used to assess the timing and amount of deformation
in the chalk reservoir in the Mungo Field, which was compared with
a similar analysis of the Machar Field, where more information was
available.
Structural Interpretation of the Slyne Trough, Republic
of Ireland. Enterprise Oil.
Various interpretations of the structure of the Corrib Field had
been proposed by partners. One of which included a crestal graben
which would have seriously reduced the reserve potential. An analysis
of the seismic data was made to assess the structure of the crestal
area and to indicate other potential structures in the Slyne Trough.
Our predictions were subsequently proven by drilling the crest of
the structure.
